Dress: Topshop via eBay. Bag: Vintage. Shoes: Internacionale.
I love Glasgow in that the summertime. The city can often look grey and gloomy, but on a sunny day, the sandstone buildings glow bright gold, and the colours just seem to come alive. Everything and everyone is so much better on a warm, sunny day.
Yellow’s the perfect summertime colour, and it dawned on me that however much I love it, I only have one yellow item in my wardrobe – a gorgeous textured minidress I bought for my 21st birthday party. I’d always liked this Topshop dress, but it’s not often I have £65 to blow on one item, so I left it alone whilst it was instore. But when it popped up on an eBay search a few weeks back, for £7.50, I couldn’t resist! It seemed like the ideal outfit to pop on when the weather was glorious this week; sensible enough for work but pretty enough for a wander in the sunshine afterwards!
We wandered out to the top of Kelvingrove Park and around Park Circus for these photos – the buildings here are incredible, and the view from the top of the park is one of the best in the city. It was the perfect afternoon for admiring the view and flouncing about in my new dress. I think I might have flounced a little too much, but who could blame me on such a pretty day?
