It’s not often that I find myself in jeans, but just recently, I’ve repeatedly been turning to these babies when getting dressed in the morning. I find it so much easier to look and feel more laid-back and comfortable in a pair of jeans than in tights and a pretty frilly dress! So for a relaxed afternoon trip to the Horniman Museum and Gardens, it was a no-brainer. These cheap and cheerful Primark jeans are among the comfiest I’ve ever worn, with a high waist and a great stretch fabric and slim fit.
Paired with my new favourite ankle boots and a trusty fedora, it’s so easy to look like I’ve made an effort, when the opposite was definitely the case… I picked up the boots from Dorothy Perkins earlier this week; after an unfortunate incident with my last pair of DP boots, I had to return them and got these in exchange. I love the classic shape and the pointed toe, they have a real 60s feel about them that I love. They were reduced in the 30% off offer they’re running at the moment, so get in quick if you like them! I also love that they hid my incredible cringe rocking’ robin Christmas socks…
I also dug out this pretty Peter Pan collar blouse from the depths of my wardrobe – it’s a sample from one of my clients, and as far as I know the style never made it to the shop floor. I love the collar (of course) and the lace details and the peplum help to make it a little more interesting.
I’d not been to the Horniman Museum for years, so it was great to revisit it this afternoon and take a wander around the gardens. It was absolutely freezing but a gorgeous sunny day, the perfect time to take a walk I think! Plus, the best part of this area is the stunning views you get across London, from every angle. It’s the perfect time to stop and appreciate what a beautiful city this is!
