Dress: Boohoo. Boots: Dorothy Perkins. Bag: Primark.

In case you hadn’t guessed, I’m a big fan of 60s fashion. Give me minidresses, swing shapes, chelsea boots, bell sleeves, ruffles and frills, topped off with lashings of eyeliner… I’m all over it. So when I spied this dress during an impromptu Boohoo spree, it was sent straight to the checkout. I love the boxy shift shape –  and those sleeves! I couldn’t stop wafting my arms around all day long; I felt like Stevie Nicks or some other ethereal goddess. I know, I know, the reality is quite different…

I took the dress for a spin around my new office headquarters. I’m based in the bustling area of Borough at the moment – it’s loud and bright and so, so busy, and not very far from where I grew up, so it’s full of sentimental little streets and buildings for me. The sentimentality is kind of overruled by the enormous shadow of the Shard but what can you do? It felt like a summers’ day (and me dressed in black, typical) and the perfect kind of day for drifting around the city – wafting my enormous sleeves, of course…!
