So, I’m back with a new outfit post – at last! Let’s pretend that the gap in between this one and the last wasn’t over a month long and we’ll be dandy…
In case you’ve been living in a cave, you might have noticed that the weather’s been picking up ever so slightly – meaning I’ve been able to renew my membership to the #notightsclub (not a real thing) and start wearing shoes that aren’t ankle boots. Hallelujah! To celebrate, I went into the depths of my wardrobe to dig out a favourite frock that’s only had one previous outing – and even that was in the winter.
This white lacy trapeze dress is one of those things that instantly makes you feel super-cool and maybe even a bit rock n’ roll. The cut of the dress skims over the body so it doesn’t feel clingy or attention-seeking, but it’s somehow still one of those numbers that manages to turn heads. In a good way, I hope! I’ve been waiting to wear this dress with a couple of my newer purchases and I am so pleased the day finally came – I was hopelessly underprepared (look at the colour of those pins) but I couldn’t miss this opportunity!
Paired with my favourite buttery leather jacket (anything to make me feel a bit more like Alexa!), and a couple of new accessories, I can see this outfit becoming a bit of a summer staple. I took my new Celine-a-like trio handbag along for the ride, which I snapped up in the Mango sale and have become a little bit obsessed with, as well as a pair of white leather sandals, for a nod to summer. All in all, a nice little outfit for a little summer stroll!
