It’s that time again! September is my second-favourite month of the year, after December and all of its twinkly-ness, of course. I love the crispness of September and the feeling of starting anew – I guess that back-to-school feeling never fades!
This month’s payday wishlist is really tapping in Autumn, my favourite season. I’m thinking lots of black, some timeless patterns and a flash of cosy red too, to see me through until next Spring!
Peter Pan Collar Dress £14.99
A classic black Peter Pan collar dress is a wardrobe staple for me; I’ve had the same one in my wardrobe since I was seventeen (eek!) and it gets brought out every year. But maybe seven years is long enough for any item, and a refresh is in order. This sleek jersey number is the perfect thing for easy dressing whatever the weather – just throw on a mac and some ankle boots et voila – easy Sixties chic!
Textured Bell Sleeve Dress £42
Red is the colour of the season for me, it’s the simplest way to look like you’ve made an effort even if you’ve just rolled out of bed. I absolutely love this pretty red dress with its vintage styling, like the flared bell sleeves. My wardrobe won’t be complete until this little lady finds its way there!
Autumn Floral Print Tie-Side Dress £48
This stunning midi dress absolutely leapt out at me when I visited my local Topshop at the weekend! The fabric is just beautiful; the colours are muted and delicate, and the print reminds me of William Morris prints. It’s such an elegant shape, and I love the lace-up sides. I know I wouldn’t get much wear out of this in the next couple of months but it would be lovely in the Spring with some strappy sandals.
Short Dogtooth Skirt £24.99
Dogtooth is one of my favourite prints, and an Autumn essential for me. I already have a dogtooth skirt and cropped trousers, but I absolutely love the cut of this H&M skirt. Paired with black tights, chunky ankle boots and a rollneck jumper, this exudes serious retro cool!
Long Sleeve Striped Top £14.99
It doesn’t matter how many striped tops I have in my arsenal, there’s always room for more. I love the relaxed fit of this loose red striped number from ASOS; it’s ideal for a lazy Sunday brunch with skinny jeans and trainers, or tucked into a leather skirt for a dressier vibe. And it’s only £14.99, a bargain!
Oversized Dogtooth Square Scarf £18.00
I’ve already waxed lyrical on my love of dogtooth, so there’s no need to get back into that. But this square blanket scarf is just heavenly; it looks so cosy and cool! I can just imagine throwing this over almost any outfit for instant style (and warmth!).
What’s on your payday wishlist? Will you be buying any of these pieces?
