High Brow

Killer brows are part of everyone’s daily routine right? Even on no-makeup days, I still don’t like popping out without at least brushing my brows through and filling in any gaps. I’ve been using Maybelline’s Brow Satin pencil for a couple of years now but I’m always looking for ways to update my routine – and as I don’t like powder sponge end of the Brow Satin pencil, it always felt a bit like a waste of money.

On a whim a few weekends back, I picked up MUA’s Brow Define tinted brow mascara and I am so pleased I did. It was just £2, so I figured I couldn’t lose. It’s the first coloured brow mascara I’ve used and it has made the world of difference to my morning routine; one quick brush through with a spoolie and then I sweep this through my brows for a total transformation in less than ten seconds.

I picked up the shade Mid Brown and it’s the perfect match – not too warm or too muddy, it’s a really good generic medium brown that doesn’t make my brows look drawn on or false. The formula is also a high point; it doesn’t smudge or flake, even after 12 hours of wear, and it’s thick enough that one sweep through does the job – no layering required here! The wand and the formula combined are perfect for creating lookalike hairs that fill in any sparse areas perfectly.

All this for £2? A winner in my books!
