Leaf It Out

While my own home is filled with touches of moody greys, pastel pinks and deep blues, there’s something about a bright pop of colour and a touch of greenery that I find irresistible. Spring sees the interior trends moving away from those delicate pastels and muted tones that we’ve all been loving, and instead offers us a splash of bright colour and tropical-inspired patterns, with plenty of green and yellow, along with glitzy gold.

The high street is full of fun prints and gorgeous accessories leaning more towards a tropical/botanical vibe; the green leaf printed cushions are an easy way to inject a pop of elegant colour into a sitting room and would look perfect on a deep navy or grey sofa. If you fancy something a little more ‘out there’, the banana-print cushion is a great way to express your personality and give the room a real tropical touch!

Mix up the flat colours with metallics too – copper’s paving the way for gleaming gold, which is perfect for this tropical trend and will stay looking sharp for seasons to come. The mirror here and the terrarium are perfect for filling empty wall space and adding a touch of glamour to the room, while you can add a little kitsch with something like the palm tree bottle opener too. Perfect for a summery soiree!

What do you think of this tropical/botanical look?
