To The Moon and Back
I don’t usually favour novelty bags, with my taste leaning much more towards classic shapes and muted colours; most of my bags are black or brown, with the very occasional splash of blush pink, burgundy or cream – more elegant than trendy, for sure.
But when I saw this sparkly silver crescent moon clutch from The Whitepepper, I absolutely had to have it. At around £40, it felt pretty expensive for a very occasional bag so I sadly left it behind – even though it would have been the perfect accessory for Christmas and New Year parties!
But at the end of the January sales, I was surfing ASOS and spied it at half price – I had to have it! £18 is definitely doable for an occasional bag, even with my sparse social life…
I love that it’s something very different and exciting in my wardrobe; the perfect way to brighten up an evening outfit and add a touch of fun. So far I’ve worn this to my nan’s 80th birthday dinner, with black jeans, my favourite Urban Outfitters polka-dot blouse and some retro silver heels, and I’m planning on adding it to a black leather shift dress with black ankle boots for my upcoming school reunion. I’m sure it will be a talking point for many an outfit to come!
What do you think of my new moon bag?
