Christmas Gift Guide 2016: Foodies

Foodie presents are some of my favourites to receive, but choosing them can often be more difficult than you’d think. With a huge variety of goodies, gadgets and gift subscriptions on offer, the choice can be a little overwhelming. Here’s my edit of the best and most stylish foodie gifts this Christmas!

Everyone knows a coffee lover, an aspiring aficionado. Broaden their horizons and give them something glorious to wake up to every morning, with a three-month coffee subscription to Rave Coffee. Every month, Rave will deliver a 250g bag of fresh roasted coffee from around the world – the ideal gift for those who take their beans very seriously.

For those who have more of a savoury tooth than sweet, this mini selection of chutneys from the renowned Tiptree Farm would make a great gift. You’ll get two chutneys, two mini wooden serving spoons and two beautiful enamel kilner jars to preserve them in. So chic, so delicious.

If you’ve got a serious meat lover in your life, treat them to the Hawksmoor At Home cookbook. This beefy bible will give you all the expert tips and tricks you’ll need to create stunning steaks, delicious roast dinner and dozens of other sumptuous meals, all in the style of the famous Hawksmoor restaurants. It could come in very handy for Christmas dinner…

Taking it back to the coffee now, with this beautiful traditional glass French press. It looks beautiful and it makes incredible coffee too, what’s not to love?!

If your foodie friend is also an Instagram obsessive, give them the perfect prop with this gorgeous marble chopping board. So simple and absolutely stunning – and it’s useful too! This really is my kind of gift.

For something smaller and sweeter,  this next gift might be the most decadent yet. 23 carat gold drinking chocolate. Yep, you read that right. Let them indulge in this most luxurious of pre-bedtime drinks, complete with flecks of actual gold. Amazing. It’s not cheap, but what a fabulous and unusual present!

Finally, who doesn’t love gin these days? If you’re stuck for ideas, a beautiful bottle of gin never fails. I particularly love this gorgeous bottle – Forest Gin is not only perfectly packaged, but has an interesting story too, as it’s made from foraged berries and wild botanicals. Enjoy Christmas with a little sip of this!
